Pemulwuy (Aboriginal Activist) survived being shot 9 times before he was shot (for the 10th time) and died!
When an Aboriginal child is born they have the health of a child in a 3rd world country!
Smallpox killed half of the Sydney aboriginal population when the English settlement began!
Eddie Mabo died 5 months before he won his case on Native Titles.
The Aboriginals die an average of 22 years younger than white Australians!!!

Childs Rights
According to studies done by anti-slavery groups, there are currently more slaves today around the world then there ever has been! Three quarters of the total slaves are female and way over half are children. It is believed that there are around 27 million people in slavery right now. The average slave you can buy today costs around $90 – whereas in the past they cost the equivalent of $40,000 in today’s money.
Children as young as 6 worked up to 19 hours with only a 1 hour break. Some children worked for as little as 3 pence or even no pay.

Fairtrade
That the first Fairtrade certified product was Green & Black’s Maya Gold Chocolate launched in 1994
That there are over 200 different types of Fairtrade certified products to choose from.
It takes three years for a cocoa plant to grow to its full maturity and can live to be 25 – 30 years old!
The U.K. are the main country tackling Fairtrade they have already successfully switched all their Coffee, Chocolate and Bananas to Fairtrade. We Australia have to catch up to them we can do it.
Without Fairtrade producers have to forego meal so their family can eat, medical treatment and keep their children out of school just to survive because the rules aren’t fair.
